Correct me if i'm wrong...

Youe need a squad of 40, if you have already lost 7, with more to come, will you, promote alot of rookies, get lots in the draft, or trade a few senior players in?

I say you just start from scratch, draft young, got a few talented player around deledios age. Cotchin, tambling maybe, riewoldt up fwd with morton... Rance and Vickery.

Can they afford ten picks from the shallow draft?

Still, couldn't be any worse than their picks in good drafts

We will upgrade a rookie or 2. And should draft a couple of mature age players(using the AFL sense of the word, I'm talking 20-22yo's) that can play straight away

Richmond should be keeping:
* Browne - for depth only
* Connors - is still young and could be handy, needs a massive pre-season though
* King - Hardwick will love his attack on the player and sometimes the footy
* Pattison - in the foward line tho so we have a monster when Richo goes in 2 years
* Putt - depth and is still only 18/19
* Raines - was 2nd in the NAB rising star a couple of years ago, and has been injured ever since
* Silvester - needs a pre-season or 2 but could be alright...
* Tuck - can win the footy, but disposal lets him down.. i would still rather have him getting 25 touches with only 60% efficency then a kid who cant get it.

Richmond have to make the tough calls. Keeping the kids like Connors, Putt and Silverster is fine, and will happen (unless of course you want to take pick 62 off our hands  ).

But players like Tuck need the harsh call made on them. There have been knocks on him, and is he really going to get better, or contribute anything to the club in the future? If not, why keep him?

As for King, Raines and Pattison... at least 1 has to go. Pattison never came on, so I'd say him, and keep Raines. I'd also consider getting rid of King, he can't play footy, and only hurts the side playing as a thug. And I don't know who the hell your Browne is :?

Pattison is a much maligned player for no good reason. He is as good as any 2nd ruck in the comp, sure most 2nd rucks are average but still, keep. And Gilligan should be kept as well, he has only had 1 year on the rookie list and was playing bush footy last year. He made it to the Coburg seniors and done enough there. He is a 3-4 year project

Browne - Keep he's young and adds some depth, needs a huge summer in the gym
Connors - Keep has the ability just not the attitude, give him a rocket and make it known next year is his last chance
Gilligan - Keep he's a project player and showed some positive signs at Coburg
Gourdis - Gone, surely we wont draft him for the 3rd time!
Hislop - Keep, maybe need to see if he has a tank for becoming a negative run with type player, if not move him on next year
King - Keep ( i'd rather see him gone) A year on his contract will keep him safe for 1 more year
McMahon - Gone, trade him to StKilda for what ever there prepared to give
Pattison - Keep get some miles into his legs over summer and play him forward next year
Polak - Might be saved by the amount of players moved on already, if he is fit and well give him a run at CHF next year
Putt - Gone stuggles to get a game Coburg reserves
Raines - Trade, 3rd round from Brisbane would be good value
Sculz - Trade highly unlikely anyone would want him so like king might be saved by his contract
Silvester - Keep see what he has to offer after a full pre season
Simmonds - Keep already offered a 1 year deal, gives Graham and Vickery another year to develop
Thomson - Keep didnt see much of him this year so keep because we cant get rid of everyone
Tuck - Trade or Keep

Unfortunately with a shallow draft this year probably most if not all the above players will be retained unless a suitable trade could be reached

RichoMan, you guys have given away a player that could proberbly give some of your young defenders some weathy experience (I am talking about Joel Bowden) so I think the tiges have made a bad mistake there.

You proberbly should have kept Nathan Brown too despite his knee injury. He is still at the top of his game and is a valuable forward pocket to have for the next two years at least given his age.

Yet he was your most dangerous forward.

did you actually watch him play? most of the time he was fixing his socks!
and the most dangerous foward would have to go to Robin Nahas

Dangerous is the wrong word, potent is better. Who would you prefer they kick it to one on one brown or Nahas?
