Hawthorn, Carlton and St.Kilda had initially shown some interest, but have since backed off for these reasons. It is now looking likely that Tarrant will see his career out at the Dockers
Shane Tuck has reportedly agreed to being traded to another club by the Tigers, despite 1 year still running on his contract. No offers have been considered as yet
Shaun Burgoyne has told the club that he is willing to 'walk' and nominate for the PSD if they refuse to trade him. Burgoyne, who is out of contract, said he'd rather PA receive some compensation for him, but is adament that his time at the Power is up. In light of the Nick Stevens saga several years back, PA are expected to accomodate Burgoyne's request.

Burton, Goodwin, McLeod and Edwards are all coming out of contract this year. Both Edwards and Burton have signalled an intent to continue next year and Goodwin has said that all 4 are "reasonably keen" to play on next year. The main issue here seems to be whether the Crows can afford to keep all 4 of them for another year.
Added 16 Sep @ 9:00amDespite the fact that everyone is confident of Lake signing a new contract with the Dogs, Lake has said that he won't even look at the Contract until after the finals. This shouldn't change things, though it may cause some doubt to grow in the Dogs' minds.. maybe.
Lloyd has requested more time from the Dons to make his decision. Technically the issue is about whether Lloyd wants to go around again, but secretly it's about Lloyd have a sooky-la-la moment about not being able to play in his favorite position.

Richo has been urged on by Hardwick, his manager and the general manager of footbal operations at Richmond to go around again. Richo, however, is keeping the whole thing low key saying that he wants to see how his body holds up under 6-8 weeks of training before making a decision about 2010. It is widely believed that should Richo decide to go again, he will be offered a new contract without any hesitation
Carlton have stated their interest in drafting Bulldogs youngster, Andrejs Everitt. Everitt, who despite signing a new 2-year deal with the Dogs earlier this year, is said to be disgruntled with his position in the team, after being overlooked for finals action for the second time in as many years. Carlton have indicated a willingness to trade their 2nd round pick for Everitt, though, as a 1st round pick, he may cost substantially more than that
Brad Scott has openly declared that North forward, David Hale is off-limits to all clubs, despite his drop in form in 2009
S.Burgoyne has met with Melbourne, Essendon and Hawthorn and it appears that his first choice is to play with the Hawks. Adding further weight to this belief is the fact that Surgoyne is believed to have told the Hawks he was willing to sign a contract for 600k per season, whereas he is believed to have told Melbourne and Essendon he wants upwards of 750k per season. If a Hawthorn deal is to go ahead, the Hawks are expected to hand over their 1st round pick + a quality player, at least, and it is said that the Power are interested in Jordan Lewis

The Crows are said to be preparing a "mega package" for hot utility, Kurt Tippett. Although Tippett still has one year to run on his contract, the Crows believe it prudent to tie him down now, so as to avoid any chance of Tippett being lured to the Gold Coast by the almighty dollar
Essendon are said to be a certainty to offer up Lovett for trade. If a trade cannot be found, then Lovett, being uncontracted, will most likely nominate for the PSD

Chocco, in his brilliance, has compared the trade of Surgoyne to Victoria, to the Judd trade several years ago and has intimated that Surgoyne is just as valuable to them as Judd was to the Eagles and expects nothing but quality for any trade

Rodney Eade has said that the Dogs are "continuing to explore" the option of drafting Barry Hall to help them with their forward line issues. If this deal goes ahead, it is expected to garner the Swans a 3rd or 4th round pick, at best

Former Swan, Tadhg Kennelly may seek a new contract with the Swans, depending on the result of the All-Ireland Gaelic Football final this Sunday. Kennelly left the Swans at the start of 2009 to follow in his late father's footsteps by winning an All-Ireland title, and now that that appears a likelihood, Kennelly is said to be seeking a return to AFL footy. Paul Roos is over in Ireland for the final but has made no promises and vowed not to bring up Kennelly's return to the Swans until Kennelly is ready to talk about it. Roos is also rumoured to be meeting with Sydney's newest Irish prospect, Chris McKaigue while in Ireland
