Expect any saint i.e. luke ball that doesn't get picked for GF to ask for a trade

Mark Blake, Trent West, Kane Tenace are all possibilities from the Cats. Hasleby doesn't want the 1 yr contract the Dockers offered him, he wants 2yrs so he might put his name out there if a team is interested

For Collingwood:

Shannon Cox
Marty Clarke (Maybe)
Ryan Cook
Sean Rusling is a possibility.

Don't see the pies doing much at all this season.

He'd go home before playing for another club I'd imagine.

Very few clubs would take Rusling, he would be too much of a risk. Cox and Cook are possibilities, both fairly young and able to provide something at a new club, and can't get a go with Collingwood.

from west coast i think,
ash hansen,

mark seaby,

brent staker and

mark nicoski

may be put on the trade table as they can't get a game ahead of the younger players who hold a better future for the club.

I don't think he'll get back into our team. He's a good player though. I think if he wanted to play then he could go elsewhere.

John McCarthy
Ryan Cook
Shannon Cox

Are all guys who could leave based on opportunity. I don't think we'd get anything for any of them though. 3rd/4th round picks at the most. Maybe a late second rounder for Cox if we're lucky. Rusling, I would keep, especially after watching Hentschel on friday night.

As said, we won't do anything, unless it's with our draft picks. I'd expect us to be wasting five days, unless one of our big names request a trade.

Agree 100%. With Egan now calling it quits next yr to concentrate on rehab, going into coaching & looking at VFL as his 1st option, a ready made replacement in Maguire would be a fantastic option, its something the club should seriously look at.

Since Maguire was pick 21, the 1st rnd 2 pick of the 2001 draft, if it took Gamble & a draft pick for him or Gamble & Stokes for Maguire & a draft pick I won't really care, but someone to go after.
